To provide hands-on, non-partisan civic leadership skills for citizens, the organization shares riveting stories and lessons from historical leaders and events that represent the American values of patriotism, national unity, education, civility, and public service.
Why The George Washington Institute?
Based in northern Nevada, GWI is focused on connecting Washington and his Farewell Address to American policymaking and political institutions. The organization uses learning through storytelling to demonstrate how citizens can preserve, protect and pass on the founding principles of American leadership and democracy for future generations.
Through its signature Friends & Fellow Citizens podcast, interviews, and guest speaking, GWI’s fascinating stories and lessons shared to audiences around the world will connect people to the civic and cultural fabric of the United States of America.
